For many men, going on an adventure with their friends is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend the long summer nights. Being stuck indoors watching television or playing video games isn’t the most exciting thing, which is why many of us turn to the outdoors to spend our time. However, deciding what to do during the summer can be a pain and it’s likely going to be a failed holiday or trip if it’s not planned correctly.

Something that’s becoming increasingly popular is extreme sports. Visiting a far-away destination with friends and embarking on some adrenaline-fueled adventures is something that you have to experience at least a few times in your life. With summer coming up, it’s the perfect opportunity (and excuse) to round up your friends and go on an extreme sports holiday. So without further ado, here are a couple of ideas to whet your appetite and get you excited.

Surfing

If you want to tie your extreme sports adventure in with some beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife, then look no further than surfing. Consider visiting Hawaii, arguably the home of surfing in the world, if you want the best surfing experience alongside some of the world’s most amazing food, then Hawaii is the place to be. If Hawaii is a little too expensive or too far out, then consider California, France or even Scotland for your surfing interests.

Skydiving

Jumping out of a plane and feeling completely weightless is something that regular skydivers describe as euphoric. It sounds incredibly scary, but with the right instructors and training, it will become one of your favourite extreme sports. Although skydiving is available in many different countries and locations, some of the best places to go skydiving include New Zealand, Hawaii and Switzerland. If you have deep pockets, then skydiving at Mount Everest may interest you.

Spectating

You don’t have to participate in extreme sports to indulge in it. One of the most popular extreme sports for spectating is motocross and supercross. They’re easy to watch, they’re a lot of fun, and it doesn’t take much learning or knowledge to understand what’s going on. If you want some ideas for a fun event to attend, then consider looking at the Monster Energy Supercross schedule. It’s a premier event that draws thousands of spectators, but there are also other supercross and motocross events to participate in as well. There’s also the option of watching surfing, mountain biking, skiing or even skateboarding.

Mountain Biking

If you know how to ride a bike, then mountain biking is probably something on your mind when extreme sports are involved. Although riding a bike casually isn’t very extreme, it becomes a lot more exhilarating when it involves rocky terrain and downhill slopes. Just make sure you pack some essentials such as safety equipment, medical supplies and plenty of water because the locations you ride in are fairly remote and don’t have many amenities. Some of the best places to mountain bike in would be the French Alps, Park City in Utah or New Zealand.
