If you’re one of the 100 million iPhone users in the United States alone, you probably already have a bias toward the phone and all of its features. iPhones are designed to be user-friendly and easy enough for anyone to use.

But, even if you’re a diehard iPhone fan, you could be missing out on some really cool tricks and “hidden features” that could take your usage to the next level.

Whether you use your phone for work, your social life, or you’ve invested in an iphone game controller to take your gaming tournaments to the next level, we’ve got a few extra tricks you may not know about that will make you love your phone even more.

Let’s dive in!

1. An Instant Magnifying Glass

You probably already know there are certain screens you can zoom in on when you’re using your phone. But, did you know you can read hard copies of things by “zooming” in on them with your phone, too?

The iPhone has a “magnifying glass” feature, unlocked by either changing the “accessibility” settings on iPhone XR, triple-tapping the home button on older models, or triple-tapping the button on the right side of the phone on newer models. Now you can read the fine print on anything, or examine things in the world up close!

2. A Siri Selfie

Chances are, you didn’t invest in an iPhone to take selfies, but if you’re a budding photographer or you’re active on social media, a phone with a solid camera definitely fits your needs. You probably already know that Siri can do a variety of different tasks for you, but did you know she can actually snap a photo?

All you have to do is say “take a selfie” and Siri will turn on the front-facing camera. You can also say “take a picture” and she will turn on the normal camera, so you can snap a photo without having to open up the app.

3. Get More Sleep

Millions of people use their iPhone as an alarm clock to wake up in the morning. But, have you tried using the “Sleep” feature found in the Health section of your phone? You can set up what time you want to go to bed each night and how many hours of sleep you want. Your phone will alert you when it’s time to sleep. That can be a huge help when you’re distracted by something and lose track of time.

There are dozens of hidden gems like this just waiting for you to discover with your iPhone. But, if you didn’t know about these before, try them out for yourself! By discovering things like these, you can make your iPhone work even harder for you, making your life just a little bit easier, and a lot more fun. There’s a reason iPhone remains so popular, and a lot of it has to do with the attention to detail Apple puts into each model.
