3 Pumpkin Beers You Will “Fall” For

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Pumpkin Beers! With so many pumpkin beers on the market it’s hard to know which ones to try. Here is a list of my top 3 favorites.

Pumking
Brewery: Southern Tier Company
Style: Imperial Pumpkin Ale
ABV: 8.6%

I look forward to drinking the Southern Tier Pumking every year. I love the taste of pumpkin with vanilla, clove, allspice and nutmeg. I suggest picking up a 12 oz. 4 pack of these because the 22 oz. bottle is heavy to drink at one sitting. Pour your beer into a glass and let it sit, this beer tastes better at room temperature.

Pumpkick
Brewery: New Belgium Brewing
Style: Ale
ABV: 6%

The New Belgium Pumpkick has become one of my new favorites. This pumpkin beer has a tart cranberry bite and combines nutmeg, allspice and lemongrass.  This pumpkin beer definitely stands out from the rest.

Punkin
Brewery: Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
Style: Brown ale
ABV: 7%

If you are looking for a pumpkin beer that isn’t heavy to drink, definitely try Dogfish Head’s Punkin. This beer still has a kick at 7% abv and has a great blend of pumpkin, brown sugar and spices. Also be sure to take a road trip this fall to Dogfish Head’s Punkin Chunkin event www.punkinchunkin.com.
