Although it may not be perpetuated in a modern society openly and honestly, men are self-conscious of how we look. Looks may not matter a whole lot next to our status and how we feel we fit in their world regarding jobs and financial security, but they are still relevant. All too often men don’t have a place to go where they can discuss their doubts and their lack of confidence with women. We’re visual animals so how we dress is important to us. Getting more mature doesn’t mean you have to let go of bullish styling choices and in fact, all you need to do is adapt. Remaining youthful and full of life is something that can be expressed and felt through the different kinds of fashion we dabble in from time to time. Of course, you’re not going to try and emulate your teenage son, but certain items of clothing can roll back the time. Doing so requires accuracy in what we choose to adorn ourselves with.
Being able to provide for your family is a key part of being a parent. But providing for your children as a modern father means many different aspects. It is not all about money when it comes to providing for children these days. We need to create an environment of good communication, as well as one of them that expresses and shows love for them. Being involved in our children’s lives is so important, as well as being able to provide for their temporal needs. Though it is important to differentiate between their temporal needs and temporal wants, in order to help them learn the value of money and of work; another important aspect of being a parent.
At times, parenting can feel like you’re in in an airplane in turbulence in a thunderstorm and the oxygen masks have dropped. As with on a plane, when parenting it’s important to remain calm and put your oxygen mask on first before you help your children. Once that’s accomplished you can give specific instructions of what to do, with lots of positive feedback for good behavior.
