Best Long Island Craft Beers For Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a day to celebrate Mexican cuisine, culture and music. If you’re not a fan of tequila and you’re looking for the perfect pairing for your fiesta, try these local Long Island Mexican style beers.

Spider Bite Beer Co. from Holbrook, brewed Dos Arnas Mexican Style Lager, a clean, crisp Mexican Lager with a 5.5% abv. This beer is perfect to pair with tacos.

Lost Farmer Brewing Co. from Mineola brewed a Jalapeño Lime Lager. This American lager has a 5.5.% abv and has some subtle heat and splash of citrus. Tulum Michelada features Tulum Tacos & Tequila’s special Worcestershire sauce recipe and Jalapeño Lime Lager, garnished with a cucumber and Tajin rim.

South Shore Brewery from Oceanside teamed up with Dirty Taco & Tequila to create Bored & Dirty, a sea salt and lime blonde ale. You can find this ale at all Dirty Taco locations as well as Bellmore Beverage, McBreens Beverage, Farmingdale Beverage, and East Park Beverage.

Small Craft Brewing Company from Amityville, is releasing Hola Ola Mexican Lager on May 5th with an optional lime and/or Tajim rim.

Garvies Point Brewery and Restaurant  from Glen Cove, is releasing a Mexican inspired lager called Lager Libre in 4 packs and on draft. This beer is brewed with flaked maize and a Mexican lager yeast for a clean, crisp beer.

Destination Unknown Beer Company from Bay Shore is celebrating its 8th anniversary as well as Cinco de Mayo with The Science of Selling Watermelon Margaritas Lime Gose Ale. This beer is made with watermelon and lime, giving it a fruity yet tangy flavor. This beer is crushable with a 3.7% abv.

Barrier Brewing is releasing Atlantico Lager with lime and Boon’s Brew, a lager with chili peppers, lime and coriander. Barrier will also be serving Moonshine Margaritas in the taproom for Cinco de Mayo.
