As many of you know I have been working with Anker (also their other brands eufy and Soundcore) for a few years now and you also may know, I believe in working with companies that I can trust and believe in for my own house so that is why I enjoy bringing these reviews to you. Anker is one of those companies! I can’t believe it has been almost 4 years since I did my first eufy security review on the eufyCam E security camera, January 2019 to be exact. The S330 has really come a long way from the days of the eufyCam E as you would expect.

As I expected the setup was super easy as always. It provides very clear 4K picture quality with an 8x zoom capability; the night vision is also very reliable. It’s very easy to mount the wireless camera since no power cord is needed. They do recommend you fully charge each camera before mounting, which I did. With the addition of a solar panel built right into the camera, you don’t even need to recharge the camera as long as you get 2 hours of direct sunlight on the camera, which I find very convenient.

The Homebase 3 is a vast improvement over the prior Homebase 2 allowing for features like a 2.5″ SATA drive slot (up to 16TB). The BionicMind AI works great, and the facial recognition is accurate and is always learning. You can add face images and name them for each family member or friends in the app so the next time it will tell you who is captured on your camera. If it believes it captured a person in your family or friends list, it will ask you and add that image to its AI database helping it improve the accuracy next time.

The eufy security app is easy to use and you can have so many custom settings allowing you to tweak your security to your liking. The design of the camera and the HomeBase are very modern and elegant. The expandable storage is a great feature. eufy never disappoints me, their cameras are very reliable and so do their services.

Why should you get eufy security cameras? These cameras provide great quality video securing your home , no subscription. I do expect to add an SSD in my Homebase 3 soon for added space.

Pros:

• Very easy to set up to the eufy ecosystem
• Solar Charging (Requires 2 hours of sunlight per day to maintain its full charge)
• BionicMind AI providing 99.9% accuracy to tell if someone is known or a stranger
• Homebase 3 storage can be expanded to 16TB of data
• 4K, 8x zoom cameras
• Great at determining the difference between human, car, animal and other movement.

Cons:

• Currently (expected to be resolved by end of December) Homebase 3 is not compatible with the eufy Video Doorbell Dual 
• Some issues with the calendar showing Daily Events when there are no videos. Their team is aware of it and looking into it.
