Bonding With The Boys: Plan An Awesome Guys’ Weekend
Hole Up for the Weekend
Who says you have to go anywhere? If you don’t feel like going out on the town, shutting yourself away for the weekend can be a lot of fun. You can eat and drink, play games, watch sports, or just talk. And it doesn’t have to be at home, either. If you want to make things more exciting, rent a house somewhere instead. Choose somewhere with a pool or a cabin in the middle of nowhere so there’s nothing to disturb you. If you want to make it really private, make a rule that everyone has to turn their phone off (but leave one phone for emergencies).
Choose a Big Kids’ Activity
What’s the one thing you always wanted to do as a kid but were never allowed? Well, now you’re an adult, and you can do what you want. If you want to turn your guys’ weekend into a big kids’ weekend, there are some fun things that are great to do as a team. Try something like laser tag or paintball, where you can fight a battle to the (overdramatically acted) death. Or you might just want to spend a weekend at Disney World or another theme park you either never got to go to or really loved as a kid. There are plenty of fun, adult-appropriate activities that appeal to your inner child.
Do Something Sophisticated
On the other hand, maybe you want to go in the other direction and do something very grown up. If you’re prepared to spend a bit of money, you can do something sophisticated, and maybe pretend you’re super rich for a while. You could go to an expensive restaurant, stay in a 5-star hotel, drive a sports car around for the day, or go and drink in some upmarket bars. Maybe even go to an expensive barber.
Pick Something Bucket List Worthy
If you rarely get the chance to get together with your friends, make the weekend count. You might as well plan something memorable, and perhaps even something that’s on your bucket list. There could be some crazy things you’ve always wanted to try, like bungee jumping or skydiving. Or maybe you’ve always just wanted to visit a particular place, or you and your friends have a promise to each other to fulfill.
Whatever you choose to do with your friends for the weekend, make sure everyone has fun. Come up with a plan, so you know you’re in for a good weekend.
