The Great Bacon Picnic in Brooklyn is known as the “Bacon Event of the Year.” Bacon enthusiasts got to savor bacon dishes from Brooklyn’s top restaurants, a variety of beer, spirits and cocktails and play fun games including corn hole and Giant Jenga. Other activities included catching the most pieces of bacon by mouth to win several years’ worth of passes to the Great Bacon Picnic. The Great Bacon Picnic even had a bacon bar containing different varieties of bacon.
I attended the event on Saturday with my wife and our writer Lauren Jablonski was there to cover the event on Sunday. The event was definately a success and the weather was beautiful too. In speaking with others at the event, people were definately having a great time even if their doctor disagrees. (That is what happened to me at my annual physical on Monday, lol) Lauren and I put together some of our favorite bacon items from the event and wanted to share them with you so consider this a joint post.
