From the first minute I listened to the Fugoo Tough I became an instant fan. It had incredible sound while still being the most rugged speaker I have seen to date. Similar to the previous models, each of the XL speakers are IP67 rated which means they’re water, shock, snow and dust-proof. The Style and Sport XL models have the ability to float, in case you want to take a dip in the pool.

For me the only thing missing was a larger version for those back yard get togethers, well now you have it. The Fugoo Tough XL is not only larger but louder too. Measuring 13.18” (L) x 4.37” x 4.64” (H) inches, the Tough XL is considerably bigger than its predecessor and heavier at 4 pounds 15 ounces. The size and weight is not a problem for me though I have heard some complains. You can also purchase a hand strap for the speaker for $29.99. If you have more than one Fugoo speaker expect a soon to be released software update that will allow you to pair the speakers for continuous sound or to be used as a complete left and right speaker system.

From my experience you will most likely not get the 35 hours of battery life though I have the tendency of blasting my music as well as charging my phone while listening to my music. Overall I am quite happy with my Fugoo Tough XL. It has become my go to speaker.
