You’ve just got yourself a date with the most amazing women – congratulations and in order. While you are most probably incredibly excited about your upcoming date, you may also be feeling a little stressed out. It’s natural to feel nervous before a date, especially when you want to ensure that it goes well, and you make a fantastic first impression.

The main problem for many of us is that we just can’t work out what’s the best way to ensure the dates goes to plan. You may be asking yourself why some dates are a big success and others are a massive flop – is it down to you? The truth is, while there are things that you can do to help increase the chance of a successful date, some first dates are just destined to fail. (Normally, this is because the two of you aren’t a good match for one another.)

To help you increase the chances of having a successful date, here’s what you should do:

Make the plans – Want to impress your date – be decisive when it comes to making plans. Often, men will avoid date planning on their own, instead turning to their date for ideas and advice. This tends to be because we don’t want to get it wrong when it comes to picking the perfect date location; we want everything to be perfect.

However, you don’t need to panic about this. You date will be just as nervous as you, and will most probably prefer that you take the reins in choosing a place. As long as you choose somewhere respectable – aka, not a fast food restaurant or sleazy bar, you should be just fine. Think about your date’s likes and dislikes. If she’s said, she’s a lover of Italian food, for example, book a table at an Italian restaurant. If you don’t know what she likes, go for a neutral eatery, somewhere that serves a variety of foods.

Be well groomed – The number one thing that puts women off is a man who is poorly groomed, rough and ready isn’t a desirable look these days. Instead, for a date, it’s important always to look good. This doesn’t just mean picking out your chicest suit but also taking care of your grooming.

It goes without saying that you should shower and shave before a date, but what about your skin. In the lead up to your date, make time to give your skin a little TLC. You many not usually take good care of your face, but if you want to impress, it’s important that you do. For all the best skin care tips, check out SkinCareformenExplained.com. Be friendly and polite – Being friendly and polite is crucial for making a good impression. Not only should you treat your date with respect, but it’s also important to be kind and courteous to your servers. Most women dislike men who are rude, as it shows a lack of respect for others. So make sure to be on your best behavior.

Offer to pay – Times may have changed – men may not longer be expected to pay for everything, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t offer. If you’ve invited her on a date, then etiquette dictates that you should pay, or at least offer. The chances are that she’ll suggest going halves. But trust us, she’ll appreciate the gesture, and respect you more for offering.

First dates can be a little daunting, especially when you are desperate for them to go well. Try not to stress, stay calm and follow the tips above, and you can ensure that you make an incredible first impression.
