If there are two things that most guys love, it’s sports and tech. So, I thought I’d merge the two and talk about some amazing, sporty tech & gadgets that are out right now:
Soccer Tech – Soccer is a sport that’s growing a lot in the US over the past couple of years. But, you don’t really associate it with technology. You may be scratching your head trying to figure out what soccer tech could be. Well, did you know that you can get smart soccer balls nowadays? These are balls that have a little chip inside and will track everything you do. When you kick it, the power and spin will be tracked and sent to your mobile device. You can analyse your shots and try and find the sweet spot in the ball. Similarly, some soccer boots come with a coaching chip. This is the same sort of thing; only it tracks the distance you run and how fast you ran during a match. It’s great for anyone that takes soccer seriously and wants to track their stats.
Golf Gadgets – There are plenty of awesome gold gadgets on the market these days. You have things like indoor mats to help with your putting. If you have an indoor putting pat, you can spend hours practicing your putts. And, you don’t have to worry about bad weather, you can do it in your living room! It’s all about helping you get into a good putting rhythm. Or you can get a golf swing tracker that attaches to your clubs. With one of these, you can track the progress of your swings. You get to see exactly what each of your golf swings looks like. It’s perfect for someone that wants to take their game to the next level. That’s the great thing about golf gadgets, they can help you improve. They’re not just there to track your progress, but you can actually see your game advance.
Running Gadgets – If you’re a sporty guy, then I’m sure you’ve been for a run at least once in your life. Running is great for the body and keeping fit. But, did you know that there are some cool gadgets out for any runners? It’s true, and one of the most popular gadgets are fitness trackers. Fitness trackers are a piece of wearable tech that fits around your wrist like a watch. The difference is, it’s not used to tell the time. Instead, they can tell you all manner of things. A fitness tracker can track your current heart rate and tell you how many calories you’ve burned. Some will even map out the route you ran, and send it to your smartphone. A lot of them will come with partner apps for mobile devices that let you view your progress. You can see how quickly you ran the same route on a different day. It’s a great way to make running more fun and set yourself targets. It’s way more exciting when you’re running and trying to beat your old time!
