Good. First off I want to welcome thesciencegeek to the world of followers. Thanks for checking me out.

This movie was an above average movie but what gets this movie a better rating from me is Tom Hardy. The guy can act, and he does some job here. When you finish watching this movie you will thank the lord that you were not born in Russia during the Stalin era where just a mere whisper from someone can get you and your family arrested, interrogated, and shipped off to the armpit of the world and killed as a traitor….but this is just the undertone of the actual movie. The real story is about Hardy who plays a secret police agent that stumbles across a shocking murder mystery where a psychopath is kidnapping, torturing, and killing young orphan boys up and down Moscow and the slums of western Russia. The government tries to sweep it under the rug, but Hardy continues to pursue it. He gets demoted and this is where the story begins. I can’t begin to imagine a world where all it takes is one person to accuse you of speaking out against the government and you would disappear for a long time. With this current president I would have disappeared a LONG time ago if that was the case here in the United Stated. I think after seeing this movie you will walk away with two things…you will gain a new appreciation for your blessed life along with a little history lesson, and you will also have Tom Hardy on your radar as one of the best actors in the business right now if he was not already there. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken!
