Just For Men Mustache and Beard Keeps Beards Looking Gray-Free, Thicker And Fuller
Do you think nothing can compare with great facial hair? Is your beard so gray, you’ve got no “play”? Then here’s a great reason to look forward to beard-growing season.
Just For Men, the iconic men’s grooming brand, is bringing back New York sports legends and rhyming duo, Keith Hernandez and Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Never saying never, they’ve returned to help men find their best beard ever. And in addition to all the rhymes that make Clyde shine, now there’s a twist that men can’t resist!
Keith and Clyde star in the new 15- and 30-second Just For Men spots, which begin airing nationally today. Reminiscent of the playful, rhyming banter of their previous ad pairings dating back to 2002, the national spots will appear on networks including ESPN and FX and online outlets including ESPN and Bleacher Report. The spots remind men that applying Just For Men in 5 easy minutes not only gets rid of gray, it makes beards look thicker and fuller.
In addition, Keith and Clyde, partnering with Just For Men, have announced a brand-new sport — “Beardspotting” by going into the world and discovering and sharing their beard finds with some playful “color commentary” that will live on the Just For Men social channels.
“Beards and Mustaches are on trend, with two-thirds of American Men having facial hair, and they are the ultimate badge of individuality,” says Ralph Marburger, North American Category Director for Combe Incorporated’s Just For Men brand. “That’s why we’re excited to make #beardspotting the next great sport. We’re proud to be bringing back Keith and Clyde, and all the rhymes, in a new campaign that celebrates America’s new favorite pastime – spotting the best beards and mustaches in the nation.”
Beardspotting will get even more entertaining this September, when Just For Men kicks off its search for the “Best Beard Ever.” Throughout the month, consumers can upload #beardspotting photos of their beards or mustaches to compete for the title of “Best Beard Ever,” which Keith and Clyde will award on October 15. The winner receives an all-expense-paid weekend trip for two to Brooklyn in November to join the judging panel at the National Beard & Mustache Championships. In addition to the grand prize, entrants will have the opportunity to win Keith and Clyde autographed sports memorabilia.
So with Keith and Clyde as your guide, Just For Men says: show your pride. If your beard is worthy of a moment of fame, this may just be the perfect campaign.
