Ok. Now I never heard of this movie. How in the world could this serious star power that could light up a New York city block slip past the great Mobile Movie Man??? I have no idea. I know it was based on a book that I’ve head was pretty good but I saw this for one reason and one reason alone. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.

These two have some serious chemistry and I loved them in Silver Linings Playbook. Here not so much. Jennifer Lawrence plays the strong female character as good as anybody in the business. She’s proved it in the Hunger Games, and I thought she was very good in Winter’s Bone, but she was likable in those movies. I don’t like seeing her play a bat $hit crazy broad like she does here. Maybe she’s like that in real life like all women, i don’t know, but I don’t like seeing this because it mess up my fantasies of her. Need to keep that stuff separate. Bradley Cooper was a complete miscast for this role. I’m not sure if that falls on the director for not pulling out a better performance out of him, but it felt like he sent it in here. There are too many sub plots here and my mind was wandering around aimlessly constantly checking my watch. I really didn’t care for this movie much but I stuck with it like I always do to see if it could be salvaged and it just never happened. I’m a fan of both actors here and not even they could do anything to save this movie. Not a good movie, but not god awful either. Tread lightly with this one folks. @Mobilemovieman on twitter – get on that…..cause I said so!
