This is not going to be like a traditional Mobile Movie Man review , and as you read further you will understand. I’m not a big fan of these types of movies to begin with and this is definitely not something that I would spend my hard earned money on. I did see this movie due to the fact that one of my generous followers sent me a pass to see the movie on opening night. I talk to a lot of people about movies on a daily basis and for the most part the consensus on comic book movies is – if I catch it on cable I’ll check it out but I’m not going to the theater to see them.
These Marvel movies are like literal ATM’s for the studios just printing money and they remind me of the band N’ Sync nobody claims to have ever bought one of their albums outside of my wife’s younger brother but they sold millions of millions of records. So who’s actually spending money? This is what intrigues me about these movies. Now I’m not going to lie, when we got to the theater there was a buzz of excitement in the air. People were genuinely excited for the move to start. As I sat in my seat taking it all in I felt like I was on the set of Revenge of The Nerds. This was one of the weirdest audiences I’ve ever seen. People were dressed in a ton superhero paraphernalia everywhere.
I find it completely ridiculous for grown men to dress this way. That being said I fell asleep and that is why I can’t give it a true review. I will tell you that this is a LONG movie. It’s about 2 and ½ hours and I was asleep for at least 45 minutes so that in itself should tell you all you need to know, but what is just downright embarrassing is how these adults get all excited and start clapping and cheering when Tony Stark (a fictional character) transforms to Ironman….are you kidding me????I would be willing to bet my mortgage that some of the adult males in this crowd legally can’t be within a thousand feet of a children’s school or a playground. So in review, if you like these type of movies, or if you are south of 15 years old, or if you attend Star Trek conventions, or Star Wars shows or anything along these lines….then this is for you. If you are a adult like me, act like one and go see something like The Fast and the Furious 7. Thanks again for the free pass, I really appreciate it as I would have been pi$$ed if I actually paid to see this movie. The Mobile Movie Man has spoken. Now go run along and enjoy your weekend.
