Good.  Now this is an updated version of the TV classic that I have never seen. That being said, there was no way I was not going to see this film because the Mobile Movie Man is a huge Denzel fan.  If any of you out there like when Denzel plays the epitome of an alpha male who is always in charges and never take orders from anyone but himself then this movie is for you.

The thing I love about Denzel is that no matter what the role – football coach, detective, drug kingpin, prisoner, boxer, or pilot, he brings the same amount of swagger to each character, and he has that signature swagger back here in The Equalizer. No other actor can command fear and respect simultaneously like Denzel can. The movie is solid and if I had anything negative to say it would be that I wish they would have given a few more details of Denzel’s characters past but I can see that a new franchise has been born. You can’t go wrong with checking out this one, so give it a shot. The New Year is starting off on the right foot. Hopefully we can keep this going, but I highly doubt it.
