uNu Ultrapak Series: The Review

Ultrapak, Go, Tour, uNu, power pack, tech, technology, product review,

Here is the situation, you are out and about when you look down at your phone and notice that your battery is under 10% but you have no where to stop and charge it. Sound familiar? Well if it does, have I go the product for you.

Back in late June I was introduced to a company called uNu. uNu is a global manufacturer and distributor of mobile-electronic accessories. At uNu they are passionate about their products and the people who use them, that’s why they make every effort to create and provide superior products with innovative solutions. According to the company the principles of uNuology is to focus on products that emphasize innovative designs, quality products, that offer reliable consumer solutions. Winners of the 2013 CES Design and Engineering Award, uNu is a proven source for reliable and innovative products. With 100% customer satisfaction always on their minds, they rigorously test every product to ensure that uNu is your most reliable power source.

Along with their line of battery packs is their ultrapak series which includes the Go and the Tour. The Go is a 3,000 mAh unit with a single USB output providing 5 V at 2.1 A that charges to 2,000 mAh in 15 minutes and the full 3,000 mAh in under 30 minutes and the 10,000 mAh Tour manages to fill itself to 100% in a mere 95 minutes (same 15 minute, 2,000 mAh ability as the Go) with two outputs providing 5 V at 1 A and 5 V at 2.1 A. Let that sink in. The best part of this product is the fast charging for sure. Most similar products take much longer to charge. On top of that there is no guessing exactly how much charge the ultrapak has left with its smart LED display that shows you its load percentage and time remaining until it is at maximum. P.S. there is also a built-in flash light has come in handy in all sorts of situations.

If you’re a power user or someone who is simply away from normal charging sources all the time you will definitely like this device line. uNu makes a very compelling case for either the Go or the Tour on the recharge times alone. At $79.99 the 3,000 mAh the Go is a recommended buy due to its small size which fits perfectly in your pocket and the bigger 10,000 mAh (and still small in comparison) Tour at $99.99. I can not stress the importance of the quick recharge. Really, it’s pretty fantastic to get a battery pack charged from dead to being able to recharge most smartphones to 100% themselves in as little as 15 minutes. I can not tell you how many times I am about to run out of the house soon and realize that my battery pack is dead. Now I don’t have to worry because in less than 30 minutes. I am all charged and ready to go.

I have replaced my older battery pack charger for my faster, smaller, lighter uNu Go. This will be going with me to all my blog related events where I know I will be tweeting heavily involved in social media as well as taking video for sure.

The Ultrapak Go is $79.99, and the Ultrapak Tour is $99.99.
