ScreenGuardz Pure Glass Screen Protector By BodyGuardz: The Review

Body Guardz, Product Review, tech, tempered glass, screen protector

When I was at CE Week the guys over at BodyGuardz were showing off their ScreenGuardz Pure tempered glass screen protector and how easy it is to install. Made from a special chemically-tempered glass ‘exceeding the hardness of steel’, ScreenGuardz Pure screen protector “sets the standard in protection” according to the company. Performance is ensured by a smudge-resistant coating, coupled with high touch sensitivity. Well let me tell you, I am not about to truly put it through the test but I will say during my everyday use where I have been known to put scratches in my screen, this definitely does the job better than any other screen protector I have used in the past.

Body Guardz 2I am one who hates installing screen protectors on my phone because for some strange reason, I always have a problem whether it is bubbles that wont come out of dust that always finds its way underneath. Before I left the booth at CE Week, I received my ScreenGuardz Pure glass screen protector and could not wait to install it on my phone. It went off without a hitch. I didn’t even have to use the ol’ steamy bathroom trick. If you’re unsure how to do it I suggest watching screen protector install videos on YouTube.

It really feels great on the screen though I have to say I was skeptical based on other screen protectors I have used in the past. For me tempered glass is the way to go!

While you might be too afraid to test it and believe me, I find no real reason for you to do so, the ScreenGuardz Pure by BodyGuardz can withstand hammers, nails, and boxcutters, let alone a fall from a few feet. It’s made of a chemically-tempered glass that is both touch-sensitive and very resistant to smudges, common complaints with many other screen protectors. The ScreenGuardz Pure can be easily applied and removed without damaging the phone.

What’s in the box?

1 envelope with instructions
1 Pure screen protector
1 microfiber cloth
1 alcohol swab
1 squeegee card
1 suction cup
1 registration/FAQ card
2 dust remover stickers
2 home button covers (1 each black and white)
1 BodyGuarz logo sticker

The BodyGuardz ScreenGuardz Pure or Pure Anti-glare Glass version retails for $39.95, and if you register your purchase you can make use of the Advantage Program. This program gets you 20% off subsequent purchases and replacement Pure screen guards for a reduced price (only $12.95 for iPhone 5S). When you take into account the performance of the Pure in scratch and impact resistance, the clarity, and the touch sensitivity—not to mention the nice discounts for additional purchases and replacement screen guards (if you actually do some damage to your Pure)—it becomes a very easy decision.

Disclosure: I received the ScreenGuardz Pure Glass Screen Protector By BodyGuardz in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed in my review are my own. No other compensation was given.
