Ok. This is going to be a weird review because at the end of the movie I was left satisfied but I’m not sure if the movie was so good or just that everything else out there is so bad.

The movie starts out very slow then picks up steam midway through, and finishes up very strong. The cast is decent and there are a lot of bit actors that you will remember from shows like the Wire and the Sopranos, but I thought Clive Owen was an odd cast for the lead role, because as much as he tries to turn down his accent it’s still there and no NYC gangster in the 1970’s spoke like that. It was actually a little ridiculous. So you have to take that with a grain of salt. After doing a little research I found this movie was a complete disappointment at the box office but I didn’t think it was terrible. Check it out for yourselves and let me know your thoughts because I’m anxious to know if this move is the Lebron James of movies….the best against watered down or no competition or if it’s really that good. I’m not too sure.

  2. I never even heard of this movie. But with the cast alone I would check it out. Nice to know that despite starting out slow, it does have a good finish.

  8. So, I guess one would have to watch it to see if it is the content or the competition that makes this movie ok. Thanks.

  9. I totally agree. There are not many good movies out lately but at least you left satisfied that means to me it was worth seeing and not a waste of time.
