WWE And Connor ‘The Crusher’ Michalek
Say what you want about the WWE and it being fake, (though I will disagree and say they are scripted) but one thing that is 100% real is their commitment to their fans. I have been watching wrestling since I was a young kid and have gone to enough house shows and live Pay Per Views to know that they make kids dreams come true and definitely know how to entertain. that is most evident in a video that was recently released by the WWE and one of it’s biggest ‘Connor ‘The Crusher’ Michalek’.
Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Connor was able to meet his hero, Daniel Bryan. When Connor met Bryan, he was not yet the WWE champ — but the WWE went one step further and invited Connor to WrestleMania. Not only was Connor sitting front row with his father but he was also able to witness Bryan winning the championship. Connor was diagnosed with brain cancer and sadly passed away in late April but the WWE was able to grant his wishes before he passed.
Below you get to see Connor interacting with people like AJ Lee and Stephanie McMahon, doing Daniel Bryan’s ring entrance with an audience of superstars chanting his name, and taking out Triple H with one punch. That doesn’t even begin to touch it. Heavy, heavy sobs for the rest of the day. The world lost an amazing little kid, and pro wrestling can be one of the worst and most evil things, but God, it can also be amazing.
The WWE receives a ton of criticism. But, this is one thing they definitely get right. John Cena, for example, has granted over 400 requests for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, more than anybody else. Though these guys are big and can seriously hurt you if they wanted to, this video shows their very soft side. This is why I am a WWE fan!
